A motivated and enthusiastic leader with a wide range of experience gained over the last 23 years including 9 years with two of the Big 4 audit firms and the last 14 years as the Group CFO of large UAE based conglomerates. Excellent team player with strong leadership skills, focused on managing the Group’s strategic goals, corporate governance, capital structure and directing the Group’s performance to meet set objectives. Versatile, can easily adapt to working in different environments and able to transfer learning and problem solving skills across the Group.
Adnaan’s working experience spreads across auditing and accounting, real estate (including in the leisure and attraction business), construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, trading, education and technology sectors. Adnaan’s strengths lie in managing the capital structure of the organisation he works for. In his roles as CFO, he has been successful in raising circa. US$ 1 billion of debt over the last 10 years.
After graduating from Chennai University in Tamil Nadu, India with a Bachelors of Commerce, Adnaan completed his Chartered Accountancy and joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bangalore, India. In 2003, he relocated to Dubai and has worked for Ernst & Young and a large local conglomerate before joining the Bukhatir Group in July 2021.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
He worked closely with a few industry professionals in forming MENALAC which is the Middle East and North Africa Leisure and Attractions Council. A body established to protect, train and improve leisure industry in the region. Adnaan also served as a founding Board member for MENALAC, for a two year period.
Within the Bukhatir Group, in addition to his role as the Group CFO, Adnaan is a Board member of the Property Development, Construction Group and Sahara Centre Boards.
